Operation: Breaking The Veil

#1
Attached to the holo was a pre-recorded message, the soft voice of Xulia filling the space with cold precision, her eyes calm yet filled with a sharpness that hinted at ruthless efficiency.

"I shall keep it short.

The Syndicate on Rocande has kept to the shadows long enough. But no operation, no matter how covert, remains hidden forever. We need to peel back the layers, and for that, information is key.

A minor gas mining facility holds the first thread of this tangled web. Our intel suggests their overseers report directly to a Syndicate branch leader. You are to infiltrate the mine, retrieve the records from the director's office, and return with whatever data you find.

Choose your path—stealth or force—just ensure you retrieve the files. The Syndicate won’t suspect us here, but don’t give them reason to. We need to stay ahead."

The hologram faded, leaving the mission details visible.

Location:
Gas Mine 22-X in the southern hemisphere of Rocande.

OOC Location:
The mine is heavily guarded, with the director’s office located in the highest sector. Expect workers, security droids, and automated defenses. Multiple entry points include service tunnels or industrial elevators.

Objective:
Primary Objective: Break into the director’s office and secure all records on who runs the mine and any Syndicate affiliations.
Secondary Objective I: Gather additional intel on the Syndicate’s operations and connections.

Timeframe:
None.

Estimated Party Size:
Xulia recommends a party of five.

Reward:
Sith will gain priority on any propositions for future projects.

Apprentices and Acolytes can earn a lesson.

Reminder:
Assets are not to be earned or taken in these, they are not meant to be for accumulating stuff. Maybe some money and little trophies might be gained but never anything large.

Operation Report: Breaking the Veil
Participating: Apprentice Lyrissa, Apprentice Charace Vulker, Apprentice Daiju Ronith

Primary Objective: Break into the director’s office and secure all records on who runs the mine and any Syndicate affiliations.
Secondary Objective I: Gather additional intel on the Syndicate’s operations and connections.

Report:

We arrived on Rocande's Gas Mine 22-X with disguises to infiltrate the mining operation, aiming for stealth and to be mindful of our tactics considering the gas ducts of the mine and ventilation. Our first obstacle was a trio of guards at the first check point.

We attempted to get past the guards through persuasion, but the fact they didn't speak basic didn't help things and they went to draw batons and went to call it in. We did not allow such and quickly disposed of the initial security brigade before they could alert our presence. Apprentice Charace Vulkner and Apprentice Daiju Ronith made the main clear way while Apprentice Lyrissa kept back and kept to slicing our way through each checkpoint from there on.

The operation moved swiftly along but the guards became more adjugated, I presume from not hearing back from the team up front. The gas mine sounded an alert of a breach. We managed to evade a large contingent of guards by hiding in behind the large crates or as Apprentice Charace did, pretend he was a passed out drunk worker. Both worked and we continued on.

Our next point of resistance came with two heavily armed security defence guards at the elevator shaft towards the director's office, where our objective was. Coordinating our attack, Apprentice Charace and I (Apprentice Daiju Ronith) defeated the guards and removed all traces. The three of us then made our final assault on the directors office where we ensured there were no further witnesses and we claimed the data we came for. We also took measures to barricade and ensure that there was no record of our involvement on any tape or devices.

Apprentice Lyrissa scrambled the security to clear our exit and ensure security had no record of us ever being there. We planted a timed EMP as well to cover our tracks and buy time for a clean escape.

I have submitted a datapad containing all the relevant intel from what was required of the primary and secondary objectives. All was acquired from the sliced terminals and the overseer's possessions. There are no witnesses to indicate who was responsible for what happened on Gas Mine 22-X.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
