[IC] Kaizen's Holo-Diary

#1

Part 1 - Freedom

As the holodisplay flickers to life, a familiar looking young man dressed in the traditional robes of a new Apprentice could be seen reclining back atop a section of low wall, right leg resting on the top as the left hung down freely. The man takes a moment to compose himself, bringing some form of rolled narcotic to his lips as he inhales, holding it briefly before allowing the smoke to escape alongside a deep sigh, almost as if making the whole process more dramatic than needed.

"So somebody was finally curious enough to drag me out of the mud and into a new uniform, kriffing wonderful."

He took another drag, visibly considering his words as his left hand raised to push back the newly styled hair into a more manageable fashion before pointing at the recorder with his right, trails of smoke rising from the cigarra.

"You may be wondering why the hell I'd bother to record my thoughts like this. Well, the memory's not quite what it used to be. I guess I've been feeling dissociated recently.. that and this is the craziest kriffing thing I've done, could be turned into a movie down the line if I keep recording these properly. You see, I've been the well behaved noble boy, I've been the rebel, the scoundrel, the dealer and the addict, but a space wizard? That's a new one."

He chuckles to himself, as if the concept of space wizards was an amusing one. His right hand dropped to his lap as he thought, looking out at something in the background. From the passing speeders in the air to the rain outside what little shelter Kaizen seemed to have found, it would not be hard to figure out this was Kaas City. Without turning back, he continues.

"I just gotta survive all the crazies first. Made friends with a Rattataki when I was an Acolyte but I think he sees me as more of a pet he has to protect. Unfortunately this guy seem to attract trouble, and now according to my Master if he acts up, I'm kriffing responsible. I need to remember to tell him that.. I'll get round to it. Let's see, what else.."

He takes another drag as he thinks, soon clicking his fingers in realisation as he looks back to the recorder.

"Oh, yes. Why did I return? The big question. The uh.. the thing that seems to have set a lot of eyes on me, according to that Overseer Varrixon. I had Kelsa's lightsaber, I had credits and I had supplies. I could have left this all behind but I chose to return and stay an Acolyte until the oh so wise Temekel chose me as an Apprentice. You really want to know why? You want to know the big secret?"

He takes one final drag before flicking the remains away, dropping down from the wall to crouch infront of the recorder, showing off a familiar cocky grin.

"I don't have a kriffing clue, the great disappointment of House Itsuwari may have finally cracked. Now! Let's go, I'm kriffing cold."

End of recording.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
