SUBJECT: After Action Report, Operation: Denting the Ravine
Summary:
The following is regarding the incident itself.
Deployed Location: Two Arch and Longrock
Deployed Personnel: Apprentice Emlar Racta, Apprentice Rekhen, Specialist Rosetti Miriadas, Acolyte Rathira Voltik
Duration of Deployment: [16/05/23]
Details of Operation:
Apprentice Rekhen managed the front trenchlines and foxholes, while I and Acolyte Rathira moved up with a Republic hostage to bait out the defenders of Longrock. Longrock is held entirely by PDF forces alone, their equipment is supplied by the Republic, as evidenced by a heavy walker, hundreds of speeders and the general lack of uniformity among the men. No Republic insignias were otherwise spotted but they are clearly armed by them, same as with the eastern territories we recently secured for ITEC.
The Specialist remarks an important lack of anti-air defenses, stating that their primary fallbacks are instead fortified checkpoints and heavy weapon emplacements to reinforce them.
The proposed POW exchange went well - I managed to extract two captured imperial captives, whom the Acolyte saw to that they were returned to our trenches with minimal injuries. I killed our Republic hostage and several PDF were killed and injured as we retreated back to our lines. The Gizka were deployed successfully through the tunnels without a hitch.
POST OP ADDENDUM: The Specialist has recovered footage from one of the probes: there -are- in fact Republic forces mixed in with the PDF, a sizeable amount of them in fact. Making up nearly 80% of the stationed personnel, it seems it was a malfunction with the droid's occular ports.
