X marks the Spot

#2

X Marks the Spot - Mission Report
- Acolyte Zotam

Preparation:
In order to secure our identities I decided to try and secure disguises, especially for the Pureblooded, as the criminal and underworld parts of Tatooine can be very anti Imperial to my knowledge. It was also decided to try and secure vibroswords, in case combat was to happen. On my own initiative I sought a meeting with Apprentice Joslae, and she agreed to provide the necessary equipment in order to boost the success chances of her Master's mission.

Deployment:
Myself (Acolyte Zotam) and Acolytes Zikarn, Mayaz and Lyrua deployed to Tatooine. I took the initiative to try and take a leading role. It was then that a ruckus between a Weequay male and a dock worker was observed, spotting me watching he called me out so I chose to make a scene before 'backing down' and leaving, so he didn't consider me a threat. During this we heard him call the dock worker Tannis. After I took my leave I told Lyrua, the only one not wearing a mask, to charm the dock worker. Eventually he asked her for a drink.

We trailed them to a back alley bar, I told Mayaz to cover one exit whilst myself and Zikarn went to the other exit. I stood eavesdropping on the conversation between Lyrua and Tannis, while Zikarn watched to ensure the Weequay male didn't follow us. Upon hearing Tannis' attempt to flirt by saying she looked like a dancer I used the comms to tell Lyrua to offer him a dance somewhere more private. He took her back to his home.

Away from onlookers the rest of us barged into his home, using my skills in augmentation and natural strength from my prior life I lifted him from the floor and slammed him into the wall. After some... interrogation, he told us everything he knew. He won the cylinder from a Devaronian male, no scars or damaged horns, with pink-reddish skin who was gambling at the Mos Ila Spaceport. He then told us he traded the cylinder with some Jawa.

We forced Tannis to take us to the Jawa where we exchanged the technology components he previously traded for the cylinder, and I used some credits we looted from his place to purchase water so we could survive the desert. Tannis was... left to his devices in the desert. No witnesses.

Conclusion:
- The cylinder was retrieved, with no witnesses and minimal bloodshed.
- The only known lead is the Devaronian male of an unknown name. The spaceport has a registry office. With a Lord's clearance the cctv and incoming/outgoing logs could be used to identify the male and track further leads for the datapad.
- Callsigns were used for communication, Hendric (myself), Spike (Zikarn), Twitch (Mayaz) and Face (Lyrua) to ensure names weren't revealed for possible tracking of Horuset forces

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
