Priority Besh: No Dogs Bark

#5
MISSION REPORT
Participants:

Apprentice Emlar Racta
Apprentice Zarkang Kalkoran
Acolyte Veilak

We deployed to Lord Ivekus' facility on Ferron where we were greeted by a modified quadrupled abomination with a large snout. Likely some kind of exotic pet beast that was experimented on. As we got a tour of the premises, we were immediately greeted by jawas and other putrid alien lifeforms that had replaced the imperial guard on the facility. The new alien security force was armed, including a cephalopod species of some kind. The original staff have been imprisoned or otherwise disposed of, and as we learned by our beastling-guide, the current 'Lord Ivekus' was the former Apprentice of the previous one - the custodian of the facility and name both. This new Lord Ivekus has certainly gone positively mad, expressing an unbridled vitriol for 'two-legged' creatures. He was almost entirely naked, sat in the upper level of one of his warehouses. Myself and Apprentice Zarkang approached him as he rambled, while the Acolyte remained on the ground floor. As it became clear Ivekus was far too demented to be an asset to the Empire or a trusted custodian of his predecessor's facility, I resorted to remedy that. I struck my opening blow towards him in the middle of his rambling, something he intercepted with impressive speed. I imagine even in his current state, Ivekus has some form of precognition talent likely, or at least highly tuned reflexes.

A direct offensive even in his current state proved to be ineffective, and we proceeded to exfil. I eliminated one of the largest modified beasts on our way out, and Acolyte Veilak saw to the extraction of two former workers along with us. They should be able to procure more information on the site.

I propose that given the absence of mental stability in Lord Ivekus, that our response is in a strike force to dispatch him and his entrenched creatures that serve as security now.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
