Operation: The Intelligence Game

Operation: The Intelligence Game

Operation Team:
Apprentice Nivalis
Acolyte Vellis
Acolyte Charace
Sergeant 'Honour' Kienix

Report:

My approach to the operation was to group up with those pretending to be soldiers at the heat of a 'battle', to try and befriend them in what these 'role-players' refer to as 'IC' or 'In-Character' and then later down the line 'OOC', or 'Out-Of-Character'. While not managing to find a large battlefield, I found success in feigning to be a Jedi Knight referred to as John.

I met up with a squad of 'Republic Soldiers' currently engaging in a fight with a 'Sith'. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity to try and get in good with these 'RPers', I jump right into the battle and are challenged by this mongrel defiling the title of Darth by pretending to be one. I engage this 'Darth' in a lightsaber duel and defeated them fairly easily.

After which, I use this opportunity to talk more with the 'soldiers', and I find a 'Sergeant Cali', apart of the 'Iron Jaws'. I base my persona, the player behind John Jedi, on an Orsian civilian that 'rightfully took up arms to rid the Empire from their home' during the second battle of Orsus.

I used the destruction of that battle to play the part to great effect, presenting me with what was required. I obtained an address to a 'Isabella Parks', a receptionist at a wood processing facility somewhere in the southern regions of Orsus. I also had her try and gather any others to aid in our 'noble cause' against the Empire and acquired two more names and addresses.

Apprentice Nivalis had managed to deal with their own targets; a 'General Jakobs' and a batch of his 'soldiers'. They succeeded in discovering eight of the sympathisers including this 'General Jakobs'. Unfortunately, Acolyte Charace's equipment did not seem to be operating.

As far as I am concerned, no one was aware of our true allegiances and we were merely just another 'RPer'. I'd consider this operation to be a success and advise even more to follow it to pick up even more of the sympathisers to rid even more from Orsus, potentially leading us to surviving Republic soldiers in-hiding from the last battle.

For the Empire

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
