Operation: Return of the Ripper

#8
Mission Report - Return of the Ripper

Participants:
Apprentice Lyrissa
Apprentice Veilak
Apprentice Leiyr
Apprentice Sah'sha
Acolyte Alicia

Overview:

Upon the inevitable return to Felucia, we've been welcomed by Lt. Liren, who informed us of a set up trap for the Mother. Assisted by some of his men and volunteers from the nearest settlement, we've divided into smaller teams that created a crescent firing lines, giving us clearest line of sight for the potential onslaught from the Swarm.

As per Lyrissa's vision, we had about two or so minutes of lying in wait before trap has been sprung by one of the lesser Rippers that assisted the Mother. Stunned and dazed, all hell let loose relatively quickly once the group lead by Kyrila blasted the thing with a rocket launcher, while those with Sah'sha and the Acolyte provided overwhelming amount of suppresive fire.

The entire encounter can be boiled down to a mixture of thunderous roars - both from the blasters and the Rippers - as few minutes later we've all engaged in a proper fight. Cutting down the lesser Rippers, the Mother went into frenzy - despite the Force Slow applied by Sah'sha and the Acolyte  - and lunged itself towards Kyrila and her men.

Though, we've all been quick to act - with Sah'sha being left of micromanaging the reinforcements, Lyrissa provided additional firepower in form of her heavy rifle, while the Acolyte did it's best to not become Ripper food. Lyrissa's blasting provided an opening in form of blasting the beast's front, which Kyrila further exploited with a blast of telekinetics.

Whereas myself remained within the canopy providing audial input on the unfolding chaos, before leaping down an acting as an additional bait for the Mother. That was it this very moment when harpoons from Sah'sha side were launched pinning the Mother only for me and Kyrila to tear the beast to shreds.

The Matriarch has sustained heavy amount of damage from almost every source imaginable, ending up cut in half. Once it was all said and done, myself and Lyrissa have secured the required samples for future studies.

That is all.
Signed,

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
