The image on the device flickered to life to reveal the alien in a tree again, sat in the crook on a bough with her knees bent this time, helmet in her lap, left arm wrapped around her knees. She seemed to be still catching her breath from something. Amber-hued eyes were fixed on the camera, browridges slightly furrowed. The alien’s curls sat slightly stuck to her forehead, a few flecks of darker red patches lay splattered across a cheek.
“The campaign progressed well tonight. We hit them, and hit them hard. Their.. ‘battle meditator’” she’d say the words with disdain, “harrowed our soldiers still, but even with five of the wretches opposing us at once we forced them to flee.. despite them fighting like..” she’d shake her head gently, gaze dropping a moment before rising again, ”Nothing I've ever seen. It was mortifying, mesmerising. Even working with Sith Rojarus on a side of them, us both in Speed, these five Jedi.. moved as one, caught every strike, parried every single blow. Like one fighter with five sabers. Every opening, immediately closed. And still eventually when we surrounded them all five retreated..” her mouth curled into a sneer, one side of her upper lip stuck raised for a moment as she looked aside.
The look of disgust faded some as she looked to the camera again. “So we'll face them again yet. They are being more than a thorn. One..” her head would twist for just a second in a moment of lingering disbelief, ”Stabbed a hole clean through the Dark Lord the other day not meters from me in her final moments. Another had fought off four of us until I immolated the filth. They are numerous.. but so far we still seem to have the upper hand..” her browridges would furrow again, “...so far.”
She'd exhale softly, left hand shifting to dislodge her curls, the alien ruffling them as her face scrunched in fatigue for a moment, her palm to her forehead, central horn nestled between her fingers, before the hand would return to her knees. She’d narrow her eyes a moment before speaking. “...then there was The Betrayer, ringing in all our heads like he owned them, like they were a prize to take.. spewing venom and nothing original all at once, nothing but the basics of Sith philosophy, as Lord Tutki so aptly put it.. it enraged me. Infuriated me. But Lord Sarias.. became fury, became rage.” she’d shake her head, ”Anguish, even. She was healing for days, then. Her sithspawn ate imperials aplenty before it all ceased. It was a violation to us all. And yet..” she’d pause, eyes closing, then, “And yet, it seems it was truly us all, the Jedi too. Their meditation stopped. So I cannot help but wonder, was it us” her eyes would snap open again, ”all? Because.. if so.. it gives me ideas. Silly, longshot ideas but..” she’d huff faintly, “Ideas.”
She’d fall silent for a little while, gazing out away from the tree it seemed, before a smile graced her lips for the first time in the file. “Hey, Mayâz is back, though,” and she’d grin, “The fool straight up ran over and hugged me in the research camp. Some things will seemingly never change..” she’d chuckle softly, looking back to the camera.
”I feel I know the domain I am bound for. I just don't know the path yet. The route is slim.” she’d wrinkle her nose, “The way I see it, there is one, maybe two, potential masters. Because the others, well..” she’d scoff, “Even prior to the recent edicts, as if I’d actually accept someone not of purity as my Master..” and smirk softly.
She'd tilt her head, ”Still. Considerations for when we are back in the Caldera, I think. A split focus will serve me not, right now.” she’d nod, straightening. ”This is Neophyte Syndathik, currently recording on Bon Sor. Never waver. Never relent..” and a moment later, the image would ripple back to nothingness.
