Task Force: Leviathan

A small holorecording would play once the file was downloaded. A synthetic Imperial voice would speak, near entirely monotone.

"Task Force: Leviathan is a newly reorganised army unit operating at the platoon level. The Task Force remains firmly under the command of the 294th Infantry Battalion, though is afforded special privelages to operate in the far reaches of the Empire and in isolation from the Battalion and parent Division for extended periods of time. The Task Force is further trusted with operating alongside Sith as and when the requirements arise, under the supervision of the Envoy of War. Although seen as a seperate unit, when the parent Battalion is deployed on campaign the Task Force must be fully capable of fully returning to line service and seemlessly reintergrating into the standard force organisation as laid down by the Ministry of War. Guidlines will follow below.

And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail concerning the beasts and droids that are available at the Imperial Quartermaster.

Operation Guidelines:

  • The Task Force operates at the Platoon level, though the commanding officer need not be a Lieutenant, the Force Commander is a flexible posistion to allow for appropriate individuals to hold command if the need arises. The current Force Commander is: Major Jackler Koren.
  • All ranks present within the Task Force are expected to operate on the field together seemlessly no matter the rank. The highest ranking officer present, typically the Force Commander, will be entrusted to give mission and squad command to the appropriate soldier based on judgement and mission briefings. It is then the role of the squad lead to build up fire teams as they see fit, including the placement on any soldiers that are of higher rank than the squad lead.
  • Squads and fire teams formed for missions are not permenant assignments, they last for the duration of a mission and are disbanded upon completion. This allows for any collection of soldiers within the Task Force to operate together no matter previous squad interactions.
  • To comply with standards set by the Ministry of War the Task Force is not permitted outlandish equipment or unit organisation. As part of the 294th Infantry Battalion it is expected that the Task Force comply to the description of infantry with unique soldier composistions remaining a secondary and support element of the Task Force. Anything outside of the typical infantry specialisations and classifications is against regulations, and the same is to be applied for equipment not provided by the Quartermaster.
  • As the the Task Force remains one platoon out of a company it is composed of 100 soldiers, however only 20 are capable of deployment aboard The Herald at a time, the remaining 80 function as reinforcements during return visits to Battalion Command.
  • The S-Class Light Star Cruiser: The Herald functions as the heart and home of the Task Force. Trusted to care for the ship and treat the naval crew with respect it is none the less a weapon to be deployed in the completion of the Task Forces mission parameters, but if the resource is squandered or misused it can be removed and returned to active line duty within the Imperial Navy.
  • Disagreements and conflicts between Task Force members are to be overseen by the Force Commander primarily, with the Envoy of War available to settle major disputes and to handle discipline in regards to interactions with the wider Imperial Army and the Sith Order. Conflicts between Imperials and Sith receive no tolerance.
  • All prior rules and regulations set down by Division Command or other authorities remain in effect for Task Force: Leviathan.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
