First Aid

#1
Combat First Aid
Situation

The harsh reality of combat is the risk. As a soldier, you will train to be effective and deadly. An easily forgotten part is that the opposition is doing the same. The oppositions will to survive and win the battle is at the very least, as strong as your own - Their training have similarities to ours, their motive to fight can be similar to ours.

Do not forget that we are the "Opposition" to our enemy. They will do the same to us as we will do to them in Combat. We win the skirmish by being more prepared, more experienced and trick the enemy into a losing situation. By ensuring victory in the skirmish, we will reduce the chance of casualties. If you are in a situation where you take casualties, then you are in a scenario where the opposition have the upper hand.

The Casualty

When a fellow is hit, it is important that you get a hold of the situation. You may be rushed by feelings, you might lose yourself to the situation. It is important to quickly snap back to reality and begin acting.

What to do when YOU see an injured.
 • Shout out Injured.
 • Try and communicate with the injured.
 • Await further instructions from the Squad Leader.

What to do when YOU'RE injured.
 • Shout out Injured.
 • Try and assess the injury.
 • See if you can treat yourself.
 • See if you can move away.
 • See if you can return fire.
 • Communicate with your squad.
 • Trust your squad to extract you.

First Aid

First aid is done by steps. You should shout out the Steps when you perform them for the Squad Leader to know the process.

Spoiler: A - Airway
Spoiler: B - Breathing
Spoiler: E - Exposure
Then you repeat the procedures until Field Medics, CLS, ambluance or any other form of extraction arrive to take over.

Zones

There are Zones in combat which depend on the safety. The definition and borders on the zones depends on the terrain party and is more decided on the spot and situation.

RED Zone: This is where the Skirmish is happening. Bolts are being exchanged and Terrain is being contested. The Fight is happening here in other words.

YELLOW Zone: The Opposition does not / can't target you. You have friendlies fighting in the Red Zone to maintain this window. Take note, that a Yellow Zone can quickly turn into a Red Zone if the opposition have the firepower initiative.

GREEN Zone: You're safe here. There are a lot of Friendlies nearby and Field Medics, CLS and Extraction is around.

OOC

Here's the basics that everyone should know about medical care. Then how you use equipment and additional information will be taught IC.

I also swear I did miss something, feels incomplete. In case you think there should be an addition, give me a poke and I'll update.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
