[Tier 3] Tumora Dotitsi, by Lord Vipion

The following is a transcript of a section of a scroll written by Temekel Vipion.

TUMORA DOTITSI

Occasionally referred to as “the rite of stitching”, the second ritual in the school of mending provides a massive boost in both its difficulty and scope. This is a rite that you will spend an inordinate amount of time practicing to gain proficiency, and once you have done so, you will still find that there are things to learn.

Where tnimi is as simple as searing skin shut, this ritual encompasses mending everything else. It cannot cleanse or restore past injuries, reattach limbs, or cleanse poisons. It is not a quick spell- it is a full-blown ritual. Healing almost anything else is within its scope.

The applications of this ritual are as varied as there are forms of injury to the body. Broken bones, crush injuries, deep lacerations, injury to organs, split blood vessels- all of these things and more are possible to heal. You stitch them together slowly, knitting each part together, feeling as broken pieces become whole once more.

The amount of energy, strength, and stamina this ritual will take is nothing to scoff at. It could take hours to cast, making it taxing for all involved. I say “all involved” because undertaking this alone without assistance is ill-advised unless it is done with the aid of an amulet, power nexus, rune, or other sources of power. One merely needs to recall the Theory of Natural Resistance to understand why.

As one advances in learning this ritual, they will begin to understand an ancient form of science that is far different compared to what traditional medics possess. Through the force, one can feel what is happening to the person. The simple image of blood vessels visualized through a monitor is replaced by a far deeper understanding that the force provides. Mortal eyes can see an x-ray. A sorcerer can feel the inherent nature of a broken bone and how to reverse it.

Through the clouds of miasma generated by this ritual, this feeling will be how a practitioner can perceive what they are doing. This ritual is greatly aided by the agony of the one being healed. More than a simple fuel source (though potent in its own right), the sensations of the person being healed will be how a sorcerer understands this inherent nature. Without it, they are operating largely blind.

The sheer amount of power required for this ritual makes it corruptive for the one to receive it, particularly for those who are not gifted with the Dark Side.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
