Sphere of Doctrine

By decree of the Pentarch of the Sphere of Doctrine; the previous iterations, structures and titles of this Sphere are hereby revoked and replaced with that which I, Apprentice Qailan Mharn, Patriarch of House Mharn, set out in his mandate below.

"The Sphere of Doctrine is not a vessel of comfort nor a place for the feeble-minded. It exists to enforce orthodoxy, to cleanse weakness, and to ensure that only those capable of executing the will of the Horuset Powerbase endure. Its form is not fixed, its power not given lightly; the strong rise, the weak fall, and the order endures."

- Lord Vipion, Pentarch of Doctrine

Overview

The Sphere of Doctrine is the ideological and operational backbone of the Horuset Powerbase. It safeguards the continuity of Sith tradition, enforces orthodoxy, and ensures that heresy, subversion, and incursions by the Light are eliminated. Where others may falter in conviction, the Sphere of Doctrine is unwavering, preserving the purity of Sith thought and ensuring that every word, every action, and every servant of the Powerbase conforms to its tenets.

Through rigorous control of instruction, doctrine, and operatives, the Sphere guarantees that the Horuset Powerbase remains unchallenged in both thought and action. The task of Doctrine is not passive; it is active, relentless, and unyielding. It roots out heresy wherever it festers, imposes tradition where weakness seeks to dilute it, and ensures that the enemies of the Sith are not only defeated in body but broken in spirit and ideology.

The Pentarch of Doctrine commands this Sphere, ensuring that its duties are enacted with ruthless efficiency. Every member of Doctrine is expected to embody loyalty, discipline, and clarity of purpose. To falter is to invite correction. To fail is to invite destruction.

Primary Duties
  • To impose the will of the Pentarch of Doctrine, administering and enforcing Sith orthodoxy within the Horuset Powerbase, ensuring all assets and members conform to the tenets of tradition.
  • Preservation and reinforcement of Sith culture, doctrine, and hierarchy, building upon the foundations of strength already established and stamping out the rot within.
  • To purge heresy, subversion, and the taint of the Light wherever they are found, securing the Powerbase against corruption from within and without.
  • Surveillance of the Powerbase and its holdings, sourcing out ideological weakness, deviation, ideological decay and ensuring the purity of loyalty and purpose answering such failings with correction or destruction.
  • Expansion of Doctrine’s reach, ever-seeking opportunities to strengthen the Powerbase’s dominion in thought and practice.

Internal Structure

Pentarch of Doctrine
The Pentarch of Doctrine commands the Sphere with absolute authority. Tasked with maintaining the homogeneity and integrity of Sith culture, doctrine, and assets, the Pentarch protects the Powerbase from heresy, subversion, and Light incursions. Through strict control of the arts, knowledge, and traditions of the Sith Order, the Pentarch ensures that the hierarchy is respected and that the doctrine of the Horuset Powerbase is enforced without compromise.

Current Pentarch of Doctrine: Lord Vipion

Shatajir of Doctrine
Serving under the Pentarch of Doctrine, the Shatajir (“Heir”) is designated as their chosen successor, a position of both honour and trial. The Shatajir must embody the tenets of Sith orthodoxy, demonstrating not only loyalty and strength but also mastery of doctrine and the ability to impose it upon others.

The Shatajir may be commanded to oversee particular areas of the Sphere — be it instruction, the rooting out of heresy, or the enforcement of tradition — acting in the Pentarch’s name when so ordered. Their authority is significant but conditional, for it exists only so long as they prove themselves worthy of inheritance. Should they falter or be found wanting, the title of Shatajir is forfeit, and another will rise to claim it; as is our way.

Current Shatajir: Sith Tutki

The Voice of Doctrine
The Voice of Doctrine serves as the personal executor of the Pentarch’s will, reporting directly to the Pentarch. Operating with autonomy across the Sphere, they oversee the operational execution of doctrine and the edicts; whilst functioning as the operational leader of the reformed Sith Purifiers. The Voice of Doctrine ensures that the Pillars remain effective and that no stagnation or weakness infects the ranks. While not directly above the Pillars, the Voice wields authority in practice, commanding loyalty through power and respect.

Current Voice of Doctrine: Apprentice Mharn

Lorekeeper
The Lorekeeper is charged with the preservation, instruction, and dissemination of doctrine within the Sphere. Overseeing the acolyte pool and junior apprentices as the official overseer of the Sphere, they maintain the integrity of ideological knowledge, ensure the proper indoctrination of new members, and serve as the principal doctrinal resource for the Pillars. The Lorekeeper also commands the Scribes, a branch dedicated to documentation, archival, and doctrinal enforcement; whilst maintaining the Horuset Archives.

Current Lorekeeper: Sith Tutki

The Pillar of Fear
The Pillar of Fear embodies the will of the Horuset Powerbase in its most direct and uncompromising form. It is charged with striking terror into the hearts of enemies, subverting opposition, and executing precise acts of sabotage, assassination, and disruption. Its operatives are trained to employ both subtlety and brutality, blending ingenuity with fear to maintain dominance over all who would challenge the Powerbase. Formerly overseeing the Spectres and Arbitrator Vaults, the Pillar now executes its duties through strategic terror operations, acting as the sharp edge of the Powerbase.

The Pillar of Dogma
The Pillar of Dogma is the ideological spine of the Sphere. Its purpose is to enforce orthodoxy, purge heresy, and uphold the hierarchical order of the Horuset Powerbase. It monitors for deviation, extinguishes heretical influence, and ensures that the principles of Sith bloodlines and tradition are preserved unbroken. Formerly co-overseeing the Purifier Vaults, this Pillar now guides the doctrine of the reforged Purifiers and ensures their actions align with the will of the Pentarch and the Powerbase.

The Pillar of Culture
The Pillar of Culture safeguards the historical and practical legacy of the Sith. Tasked with research, preservation, and construction, it ensures that the temples, halls, and archives of the Powerbase reflect the traditions and artistry of the Sith; maintaining the rites and rituals of old, and acting as custodians of our most sacred practices. Through the oversight of this Pillar, Doctrine protects knowledge, instructs on ancient methods, and preserves the continuity of Sith culture for both practical and symbolic power.

The Legion
Doctrine commands an autonomous fighting force consisting of heavy infantry droids, engineered for endurance and obedience. Each unit is clad in reinforced durasteel plating and armed with versatile spear-rifles capable of both precision fire and brutal melee. Their cores are driven by enhanced combat intelligences, designed to learn, adapt, and execute without hesitation.

The Legion marches not as individuals but as a single, disciplined phalanx; their lines unbroken, their formations tireless. Where organics falter under fear, fatigue, or ideology, the Legion advances without pause, grinding resistance into silence. They serve as both hammer and shield for the Sphere of Doctrine.

Beyond combat, the Legion stands as a symbol of inevitability. They do not question, they do not disobey, and they do not stop until the task is complete. To face them is to face the certainty of Doctrine: relentless, unyielding, and eternal.

Blackstone Quarry & Labour Force
On Ziost, Doctrine maintains direct control over the Blackstone Quarries, where the planet’s unique volcanic stone is mined and processed. Blackstone is prized for its density, resilience, and the way it resonates with dark side rituals; it is the chosen material for fortifications, monuments, and instruments of doctrine.

The quarries are manned by the Blackstone Labour Force — a body of autonomous workers, overseen by an orbital sith station. Labour is relentless. The workforce is driven until it breaks, then replenished without hesitation.

Stone hewn from Ziost flows directly into the hands of Doctrine: used to raise temples in the ancient style, reinforce strongholds, and provide materials for the war machine of Horuset. Each block is a testament to the Sphere’s dominion, quarried by the broken and assembled into legacies of permanence.

Stulvusaga
Stulvusaga is an ancient city of the Sith, raised on Korriban in the age before the Dark Jedi first came to the Empire. Its halls and walls were cut not from the soil of Korriban itself, but from Blackstone quarried on Ziost and borne across the stars. In this, the city embodies the unity of the Sith worlds: Korriban, the grave and cradle of the people, bound to Ziost, the heart of endurance and strength.

Carved from this eternal stone, Stulvusaga endures as a monument to the will of the ancients. Its structures defy time, storms, and invaders alike, their weight a constant reminder that the Sith did not merely inherit tradition — they forged it, block by block, through conquest and blood.

For the Sphere of Doctrine, Stulvusaga is both relic and arsenal. It stands as a sanctuary of orthodoxy, a fortress of Purifiers, and a testament to the endurance of true Sith tradition. Its Blackstone walls house rituals, trials, and the records of power — ensuring that those who walk its avenues are never permitted to forget that the Sith endure not through change, but through permanence carved in stone.

Spitetree Orchard

On Thule lies the Spitetree Orchard, a homestead maintained by Lord Vipion, Apprentice Mayaz, and their kin. Here the Spitetree, extinct upon its homeworld of Korriban, has been restored to life and carefully cultivated under the Pentarch's guidance.

The Spitetree is a symbol of Sith endurance: a species thought lost, raised anew through discipline and will. Its roots dig into Thule’s soil, yet its essence belongs to Korriban, carrying with it the bitterness and strength of the world that birthed the Sith.

Beyond its symbolism, the Spitetree holds practical value. Its bark and sap are believed to contain unique alchemical properties, with uses ranging from preservation rites to weaponized concoctions. In Sith hands, what was once thought to be a fruit-bearing relic becomes a resource of ritual and power.

The orchard is more than a home. It is a living testament to preservation through strength, where Sith children are raised in the shadow of branches heavy with fruit grown from defiance against extinction. Each tree is both memory and arsenal, serving as a reminder that what is lost may be forced to rise again — stronger, sharper, and bound in the service of the Empire.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
