The Journey to Sithhood

#1
The Journey to Sithhood

On being a useful asset...

An apprentice has much to learn before they are ready to set foot in the hostile world of Sith politics. Whether you want it or not, upon being promoted to Household Sith in the Horuset powerbase, you become a player in its political arena. You must be able to hold your ground mentally, physically and politically. If you are not ready for any of this when your master elevates you, your future is uncertain at best. When you cannot hold your own you cannot do what is demanded of you. When you cannot do what is demanded of you, you have no purpose. When you have no purpose, I have no need for you...
So pay attention while you are being tutored. Grow in power. Grow in skill. Grow in wit. Find a purpose and specialization. Crush all opposition in your field of choice and become a valuable pawn. Usefulness, and usefulness alone safeguards your future. This usefulness is proven by meeting the demands set below. This list is a tool for master and apprentice alike to direct your training and keep track of the challenges you must overcome and the skills you must possess.
-Darth Horuset

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Explanation
Many apprentices are directionless and many masters cannot give meaningful direction to the education of their students. These sins are in dire need of correction. As such, for a master to elevate their student to Household Sith or to suggest elevation to their superiors, all of the demands below must be met.

-Lead a successful mission or operations to showcase leadership abilities.
Your leadership needs to have made an impact on the group or the mission itself. A peer or superior is to confirm success to one's master for it to count.

-Obtain a set amount of tokens required by your master or Sith who can elevate you.
The tokens serve to show your versatility and proficiency as a Sith. Household Sith are leaders within the powerbase and require a certain amount of skill in different fields to function properly. It is for your master, or another sponsor, to decide how many of these tokens are required for them to be satisfied. This will differ per student and per master.

-Gain the support of a Conservancy member other than your master
A Household Sith is a prime player in the powerbase’s political arena. Your master cannot protect you forever, therefore it is imperative you are on acceptable footing with at least one member of the Conservancy to safeguard your own future.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Token of proficiency list
Many different fields of expertise are found within the powerbase. These are represented by their corresponding appointed specialists. The title they bare is proof of their dedication to and expertise in their field. Should an apprentice gain their commendation- impress them- it can and will be seen as proof of their skill.

-Proof of subtlety (Sith Arbitrator)
Convince the Sith Arbitrator you are a reliable asset when it comes to clandestine practices. This commendation is proof you are not a blunt tool but an agent of stealth and secrecy.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
