"This is General Bastion, Commendations are important to recognise achievements of personnel and their accomplishments. Not only that, but to show that your bravery and courage on and off the battlefield does not go unseen, and is rewarded. Just as those who do not comply with military conduct are punished, those who serve this great Empire until they can serve no more deserve recognition of their devotion.

As Soldiers of the Empire you are the deciding factor on the field, it is each and every one of you that makes a difference, the achievements of our glorious Empire would not of been accomplished without the services every one of you in service to this Empire. These accolades are not just pieces of material or metal, they are tokens of appreciation for your continued, or ended service! Whether you are an Imperial Soldier, Officer, Pilot, Marine, each of you serve a higher cause, you serve a bigger agenda! For the Empire!"

Ribbons are commendations for minor things on and off the field of battle, tasks that appear the norm for most soldiers, but find many a spineless coward wanting. They are given to those who are recognised as a dutiful and have good conduct, as well as a noted length of service.

	Defence of the Empire Ribbon	Awarded for distinguished service in the defence of Imperial interests.
	Special Service Ribbon	Awarded for distinguished service carrying out acts against the enemies of the Empire.
	Disciplinary Ribbon	Awarded for exemplary attention to Imperial discipline and instilling that in others.
	Combat Effectiveness Ribbon	Awarded for special attention and attainment in training, drill, and preparation for live combat.
	Good Conduct Ribbon	Awarded for exemplary propagation of Imperial behavioural protocol and harmonious attitude.
	Medical Aid Ribbon	Awarded for ensuring the safety of an injured comrade in the field.

Service insignias are accolades of distinctive service, those who have gone above the call of duty and simple service, those who are experienced, instinctive and relentless against their foes regardless of the situation.
