Research | The K'lor'slugs

#1
<<This file would be public to the entire House Horuset powerbase>>
From Apprentice Orgkez

This research is to be considered in no way scientifically worthwhile or in any way truthful as I have applied only observation on this species and thus collected only what I managed to see and, in a few specific cases, to check myself with my own hands. Nonetheless, hopefully this poor excuse of a Research will be somewhat useful to those completely unaware of the K'lor'slugs or their potential deadliness.

Appearance
The apperance of a K'lor'slug is that of a revolting worm-like abomination which length can range from a few meters to five or more. Their overall look is that of a somewhat armored, four-legged worm, double scythed limbs and with a menacing vacuum-like maw with many sharp teeth.

Anatomy
As they are invertebrates their only support and protection comes from their carapace, hard and thick enough to the point of holding its own against a few blaster shots (in the case of healthy and grown K'lor'slugs).
A particularity of this creature comes with the prominent veins that cover its upper area, area in which it's mouth is located, one of the important bits of the K'lor'slug and surely the deadliest for various reasons.
First off it comes equipped with two circles of sharp teeth. The first external row seems to range from 12 to 16 and appear to be more 'fang'-like, which are also probably more prone to snapping and breaking due to their position. The second internal row instead seems to range from 9 to 12, smaller yet noticeably pontier, clearly intended for piercing and shredding rather than cutting through.
But the K'lor'slug has more than just it's mouth. In fact, not far from where the supposed 'head' is found the K'lor'slug sports two scythe-like appendages while lower by it's mid-section four legs which only possible use seems only to support the other six ones of the lower section during burrowing. These last six ones are instead used also outside of burrowing to simply move above the ground, managing to keep its balance in doing so thanks to the tail which extends for a good portion of their whole length.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
